Extended Care

St. Bede School Extended Care is staffed by the C.E.C. (Child Education Center). The C.E.C. has been a part of the La Cañada Community since 1979 and has programs at its Oak Grove and Caltech campuses, at all three La Cañada elementary school campuses and at Westridge School in Pasadena.

The C.E.C. has a well-developed mission to support the development of happy, caring and productive human beings, to ensure high-quality programs, and to contribute to a high quality of life for children at the C.E.C. and beyond.

The C.E.C. teachers take into account the physical, social, cognitive, emotional, communication style, and spirit of each child. In addition, they consider outdoor play an essential component of an extended care program. Also important are time and resources for children to complete homework assignments.
